ABOUT CLAIRE

Claire is an Australian actress, singer and recording artist, best known for her portrayal of Christine Daaé in the world tour of "The Phantom of the Opera". Recently, she also joined Opera Australia’s reimagined version of the original production at The Arts Centre, Melbourne, temporarily filling in for the role of Christine. 

She has toured with American superstar Josh Groban as his guest artist for his World Tour "Stages", and regularly performs alongside some of Australia's best known artists in both productions and in concert. Claire has sung the Australian National Anthem at the M.C.G for the State of Origin to a crowd of over 90,000. She has been a soloist with Sydney Symphony, The Salvation Army Melbourne Staff Band, the Australian National Boys Choir, and has been featured several times in concert with maestro Bernard Walz as part of the Sydney Town Hall "Good Old Days" concerts. 

Claire has been a principal artist with Opera Australia, performing roles at the Sydney Opera House and State Theatre, Melbourne, including Hope Harcourt (Anything Goes), Barbarina (The Marriage of Figaro), Ida (Die Fledermaus) as well as numerous operatic productions as a soprano chorister earlier in her career. 

 

In 2019, Claire made her debut as Musetta in Puccini's "La Boheme" for the City of Stonnington's Opera in the Park, directed by Cameron Menzies.

Other starring roles include Miss Dorothy Brown in "Thoroughly Modern Millie" (The Production Company), Mabel in "The Pirates of Penzance" (The Production Company), Claire in "Jerry's Girls" (The Production Company) and Josephine in "H.M.S Pinafore" (Melbourne Opera Company). Australian national tours include "My Fair Lady" (Opera Australia) and "Love Never Dies" (Really Useful Group). She is also a Green Room Award and Helpmann Award nominee and holds a Bachelor of Music Performance from the V.C.A.

Claire's solo show "Songs from Stage and Screen - Broadway & Hollywood's Greatest Hits" has been featured on some of the world's most luxurious cruise liners including Cunard, Regent Seven Seas & Oceania.
